Lousy Europeans

"Poll Finds Discord Between the Muslim and Western Worlds" announced Friday's Times, in a piece from the International Herald Tribune. It sounds like a pretty stupid article -- western non-muslims think muslims are fanatical and not respectful of women, and muslims think that non-muslims are fanatical and not respectful of women. But the chart has one interesting point: european non-muslims (especially spaniards and germans) are more likely than american non-muslims to say that muslims are "fanatical."

Germany: 78%
France: 50%
Great Britain: 48%
U.S.: 43%
